Families often choose a first syllable from the birth nakṣatra. We show the convention faithfully — and, unlike a curated “auspicious list”, we show how many real, attested names each syllable actually yields.

An honest note before you browse

The syllable tables below are the avakahaḍā convention of post-Vedic astrology. They are custom, not scripture — no Vedic text prescribes name syllables by birth star. If the convention matters to your family, use it with real candidates; if it doesn’t, a beautiful, well-attested name needs no astrological permission.
